In September 2015, Tackle Kids Cancer kicked off its partnership with the New York Football Giants and Eli Manning. With a shared tradition deeply rooted in helping the community, Eli Manning became Captain of #TeamTKC to help raise crucial funds for our TKC MVPs (Most Valiant Patients) and their families.
In addition to raising awareness for our organization, Eli also inspires support from our communities through Eli’s Challenge, encouraging grassroots group fundraisers to raise even more funds for Tackle Kids Cancer. We are so grateful to have Eli on our team!
Eli Manning, Our #TeamTKC Captain
Eli Manning, former New York Football Giants quarterback and two-time Super Bowl Champion, has been an advocate for Tackle Kids Cancer since its inception in 2015. Eli is a long-time and dedicated supporter of his community, being named the Walter Payton Man of the Year in 2016, a special award given to the NFL player for his excellence on and off the field.
As our Team TKC Captain, he often visits our TKC MVPs and doctors at Hackensack Meridian Children’s Health hospitals, raises awareness for the incredible work done at Tackle Kids Cancer and encourages the community to join in fundraising together.
Eli's Challenge
During its inaugural year, Eli was inspired by many scout troops, youth sports teams and schools that raised money for Tackle Kids Cancer. To raise even more funds for Tackle Kids Cancer, he launched Eli’s Challenge to encourage and support grassroots group fundraisers.
Whether the proceeds are from a bake sale, car wash or lemonade stand, every donation made to Tackle Kids Cancer, Eli has pledged to double its impact. My Cause My Cleats
Eli Manning represents Tackle Kids Cancer in so many ways, including the National Football League’s (NFL) My Cause My Cleats Initiative in which players have the opportunity to pick a cause that is most important to them and represent their chosen organization on custom designed cleats. From representing his cleats on the field to now off the field during the Monday Night Football ManningCast, Eli proudly showcases his cleats which have featured custom designs from some of our TKC MVPs over the years.
Most recently in 2023, TKC MVP Jayden designed incredible cleats for the initiative and unveiled the finished product alongside Eli. Watch as Jayden and Eli unboxed the cleats together by clicking here.
Following the NFL’s My Cause My Cleats week of the schedule, the cleats are auctioned off with proceeds going to the organization represented.
